Cambridge Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction

Transforming infrastructure through smarter information

The Building Centre, 26 Store Street, London, WC1E 7BT

Lean and sustainability share many common goals, although the terminologies, approaches and even benefits are often not fully communicated between the
respective communities. Likewise the potential synergies may be overlooked or not understood.

The purpose of this event is to illustrate to professionals for whom sustainability is a key driver how Lean can help; and to present lean approaches and philosophies in a wider sustainability context.

While many will associate Lean in terms of “driving waste out” from processes, the event will illustrate the environmental, social and economic dimensions of Lean.

The presentations will each illustrate project case studies where the benefits of adopting Lean have delivered sustainability benefits. The afternoon will also include a discussion session where you will get the opportunity to feed into CIRIA’s current programme of Lean projects.

This event is free for CIRIA Network, Core, and Associate members.
