Eurocode 7 is now well embedded into the national psyche and everyday armoury of geotechnical professionals. Or at least it should be. I will review the current position regarding the publication of the related standards, and updates, and the implementation into daily practice. I will highlight come of the most important changes to design and investigation practice.
There have been recent talks and articles which appear not to have been completely accurate as to the implications of Eurocode implementation. I will address some of these and try to correct any misleading impressions created.
A complimentary drinks reception, hosted by Cementation Skanska in the ICE state rooms, is open to all delegates after the presentation of the award.
