CSIC featured in new Arup Explores blog on Big Data

last modified Mar 20, 2014 02:36 PM

Big data describes a collection of data sets so large and complex that it becomes difficult to process using on-hand database management tools or traditional data processing applications. The challenges of big data include capture (at person, building and district scale), curation, storage, search, sharing, analysis, and visualisation.

CSIC Industry Partner, Arup, gathered leading experts for a recent workshop to examine the emerging and digital applications of big data in the built environment.
