Two new job opportunities with CSIC

last modified Oct 20, 2017 04:04 PM
Two vacancies exist for Research Assistants / Associates in Urban Systems and Infrastructure Management

The Research Assistants / Associates will play a key role in establishing the Ove Arup Foundation Programme for Digital Cities for Change (DC2). They will identify how data and digital tools are impacting the mechanics of policy, governance and management of a city and infrastructure planning and design in practice. In particular, the research aims to uncover the relationship between the operation and management of infrastructure systems and the city-level outcomes for the citizens and economy. This will be done through both literature review and primary data collection in the form of interviews with local authorities, city agencies, industry practitioners, and researchers. It will involve mapping the actors in the city, the governance and management structures, the issues they are trying to address as well as the information and data streams they have available or need to access. The research will identify types of modelling and data analysis techniques and tools that will help in improving our understanding of how infrastructure systems deliver services that enhance the performance of cities.

Closing date: 31 October 2017
