The Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the Future Cities SIG are hosting a high level from Singapore in the UK to exchange knowledge with the key players in the UK around Future Cities.
The delegation will focus on Singapore’s National Innovation Challenge which aims to apply R&D to Singapore’s living context and to improve lives in tangible ways and especially so for its most complex challenges, like energy resilience, environmental sustainability, urban solutions. The delegation will include senior representatives from the Singapore research community.
This one day workshop, hosted by Siemens, will provide the UK Future Cities community with the opportunity to learn from the Singapore approach, share UK best practice and identify areas for further collaboration.
The workshop will focus on two key challenge areas:
- complex systems, data and models
- integration of urban planning and transport systems
The workshop will be followed by a networking reception at the Crystal hosted by BRE.
