Transforming infrastructure through smarter information

Following the launch of the first CSIC Smart Infrastructure Blog last week,  the second in the series, written by Tim Embley, Group Research & Innovation Director at Costain and member of the CSIC Steering Group, is published today.

Titled 'Infrastructure data insights for a sustainable and resilient future', the blog calls for a digital mind set to be centre of business, engineering and decision-making: "A ‘digital mind set’ has to be front and centre of business, engineering and professional decisions as we champion smart infrastructure in everything we do. Digital will help predict the future, benchmark with the past, make real-time decisions today and enable better outcomes for society."

The informative and thought-provoking blogs are written by members of the CSIC team, partners and industry experts to showcase opinions and ideas from the forefront of smart infrastructure and construction.
