CSIC subsidises an opportunity for industry to hear from experts on Horizon 2020 proposals and forming European consortia.
CSIC presents an exclusive, executive education training day for CSIC Industry Partners in Cambridge on 17 July. The course aims to support our partners in writing professional, competitive and successful proposals for Horizon 2020, the largest EU Research and Innovation programme ever, with nearly €80 billion of funding available over seven years (2014 to 2020). This practical, effective and beneficial CSIC course describes the relevance of Horizon 2020 to EU policies, the common problems in proposal writing and the success criteria for proposals. The course provides tips on how to collect information, how to select strategic partners and how to avoid duplication in proposal writing. The final section describes a strategy for proposal writing. The course will include sessions with representatives from the European Enterprise Network and UK Trade & Industry.
Morning session: Competitive Proposal Writing- Hyperion
Since 1997 Hyperion has trained over 44,000 researchers and research officers in writing EU research proposals. Course presenter Dr Sean McCarthy has acted as proposal writer and proposal coordinator, as well as performing as an expert evaluator for the EU itself.
Afternoon session: Consortium Building – UKTI and EEN
Martin Keepfer (UK Trade & Industry) and Roger Hetherington (European Enterprise Network) will explain how their organisations and networks can help identify and connect potential consortium partners, a key element of delivering a competitive Horizon 2020 proposal.
