Transforming infrastructure through smarter information

The 2017 CSIC Annual Review is now available online and in print.

CSIC Annual Review 2017

 This year’s Review, which features
a preface from Tony Meggs, Chief
 Executive of the Infrastructure
and Projects Authority (IPA) and a
 contribution from Mark Enzer, Group
 Technical Director at Mott MacDonald,
brings focus to the case for Smart
 infrastructure and seizing the opportunity
 for industry change.

“Our industry puts a value on physical assets, but not yet on digital assets. As the industry moves forward we must treat data as a resource and put a value on information in order to achieve a real digital economy – and an even stronger case for Smart Infrastructure,” said Mark Enzer.

A number of CSIC case studies are presented which demonstrate successful collaborations with industry partners and provide evidence of the value and benefits of Smart Infrastructure. A collection of research projects showcases some of the innovative and wide-ranging research that CSIC is currently involved with.

“Collaboration and innovation are key to optimising the opportunities that digital abundance brings. CSIC’s strategy and partnerships will deliver benefits for all. Now is the time for industry and academia to work together to secure the best outcome for UK infrastructure,” said Dr Jennifer Schooling, Director of CSIC.
