Engineering the business case for infrastructure investment

The UK infrastructure sector faces the daunting challenge of maintaining and modernising the systems on which we depend. With restrictions on investment and tight regulatory controls, renewal and refurbishment rates of legacy assets are dramatically below what is required, which could mean we see more failure incidents particularly with the pressures of a changing climate.

This event will review the current situation and the investment landscape, will update delegates on the work to implement the recommendations of the National Infrastructure plan, will explore future infrastructure business models and will look at the business case for investment in infrastructure.
