Helen Markides, Infrastructure Data & Innovation Lead, Greater London Authority London's Underground Asset Register – Lessons from delivering an innovative pilot
This talk will outline the benefits, challenges and learning from the LUAR pilot, part of the Geospatial Commission's plans to build a National Underground Asset Register. It will consider how this pilot is changing the way industry and authorities manage and share data about buried infrastructure assets and explore its broader implications for other digital and data initiatives in the infrastructure space.  
 
Dan Clarke, Smart Cambridge Programme Lead, Cambridge County Council. The role of 'smart' technologies in creating better places
Dan has worked on the Smart Cambridge programme from its inception and will talk about the role that 'smart’ technologies play in creating better places. The programme has trialled new and emerging technologies and created an eco-system of business and academic partners that it works closely with. The talk will give a practical overview of the opportunities and challenges that new technologies offer cities.
