'Maintenance and planning of resilient transport infrastructure' - Dr Georgios Hadjidemetriou
Abstract
According to European TEN-T guidelines, due consideration must be given to risk assessment and adaptation measures during infrastructure maintenance and planning in order to improve resilience to extreme events. SAFEWAY is an EU-funded research project (Sep 2018 - Feb 2022) that aims to design, validate and implement holistic methods, strategies, tools and technical interventions to significantly increase the resilience of inland transport infrastructure. This presentation is on methodologies developed in CSIC, as part of SAFEWAY project, for improving maintenance and planning of resilient transport infrastructure.
