The Public Sector Show, which takes place on 26 June at Excel, London, brings together professionals, exhibitors, speakers and suppliers to consider, discuss and debate key issues, challenges and solutions currently affecting the public sector. This year’s themes include: digital and technology; finance and corporate; estates and infrastructure; and workforce and leadership.

Dr Schooling is part of a panel discussion that will consider the shifts in regional economic power, demographic, social and climate change, and technological advancements that present challenge and opportunity to the future of infrastructure. The panel will also feature Dr Nelson Ogunshakin, President and CEO of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering Group (ACE); Dr Nina Skorupska, Chief Executive of the Renewable Energy Association (REA); and Dr Adam Marshall, Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce.

In advance of the event, Dr Schooling has written a blog addressing the opportunities and challenges for the public sector digital agenda that makes the case for collaborative engagement: “We are still in the early days of developing whole-life, value-based smart solutions for infrastructure and many organisations are actively looking to engage with the digital agenda. This opportunity does not come without challenge but open collaboration between all stakeholders will bring benefits for all.”

‘Meeting the megatrends and the future of infrastructure’ takes place at 11.05am to 12.05pm at The Public Sector Show’s National Infrastructure Forum.
