CSIC’s work featured in the University of Cambridge’s Department of Engineering Newsletter.


The latest issue of the Department of Engineering Newsletter is now available online as an electronic turn-page version. 

It features an article about CSIC’s Head, Professor Robert Mair and his interview for the BBC Radio 4 programme, The Life Scientific (pg 5). 

It also features an article about how one of CSIC’s teams have developed a mechanical amplifier, capable of converting ambient vibrations into electricity, which could be used to power wireless sensors for monitoring the structural health of roads, bridges and tunnels (pg 18).
