UtterBerry, a CSIC spin-out, swept the board at the prestigious Ground Engineering Awards 2015, announced today at London’s Hilton Park Lane.
CSIC PhD student Heba Bevan’s UtterBerry wireless sensor system, using miniature, ultra low-power sensors, scooped two awards - the Award for Technical Excellence and the Product and Equipment Innovation Award 2015. The annual awards attract the biggest names in industry as well as international interest, making competition particularly strong this year.
UtterBerry sensors have already won industry awards and nominations including the Premier Award at the Chartered Institute of Building International Innovation & Research Awards 2014 and is currently shortlisted for the Innovation category in the Constructing Excellence Awards 2015, to be announced in July.
