Cambridge Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction

Transforming infrastructure through smarter information

Connect to Change

Sign up for the official launch event on 3 July for Connect to change: unlocking the value of systems thinking in the built environment, and discover how government, leading clients, consultants, academia and systems specialists are adopting systems thinking in the built environment. Connect to change outlines an actionable strategy for achieving transformation in the performance, effectiveness and value of our buildings and infrastructure – from new projects to existing assets.

The paper presents a compelling case for applying systems thinking in the built environment, and practical steps for doing so. It makes clear the necessity for and benefits of collaboration between organisations and across sectors. And it sets out nine tangible recommendations for government and industry to advance the systemic change that is so urgently required.

Join us from 13.30-17.00 on 3 July at Imperial College to hear:

Mark Enzer and the Built Environment Connective explain why systems thinking is essential for improving the outcomes delivered by the built environment.

Becky Wood FCA, FICE, CEO of NISTA speak about systems thinking and the 10-year Infrastructure Strategy.

Jason Tucker, Chair of the Infrastructure Client Group speak about client leadership in driving positive systems change.

In addition to listening to the keynote speakers you’ll hear about new communities driving forward systems thinking among consultants, academia and systems specialists.

Engage with thought leaders and be part of the conversation that shapes the future. Secure your ticket here: Connect to change Tickets, Thu 3 Jul 2025 at 13:30 | Eventbrite
