CSIC is delighted to announce that Professor Campbell Middleton, Laing O’Rourke Professor of Construction Engineering and CSIC investigator, has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field.

Throughout his distinguished career, Professor Middleton has been at the forefront of advancing industry leadership, driving technological innovations, and fostering collaboration across academia, industry, and government. He is widely recognised for his expertise in bridge engineering and structural health monitoring, having received numerous prestigious awards, including the ICE’s Telford Gold Medal.

His election as one of 71 new Fellows is a testament to his leadership and pioneering work in the field. The formal induction ceremony will take place on 27 November in London.

CSIC extends its warm congratulations to Professor Middleton on this well-deserved recognition!
