Nicholas de Battista, CSIC Research Associate, has been elected to the Council of the International Society for Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure (ISHMII).
The announcement confirming the newly-elected members was welcomed by the President, Zhishen Wu, and the ISHMII Executive Committee. ISHMII is a non-profit organisation of leading structural health monitoring institutions and individuals with a global representation from the applied and theoretical arenas. Members include practitioners, engineers working in the field and in academia, and infrastructure managers.
Nicholas de Battista is a Research Associate and a co-founder of CSIC spin-out Epsimon Ltd, established to provide specialist consultancy services related to instrumentation and monitoring applications for civil infrastructure. Epsimon is an industry partner of CSIC with which it closely collaborates to constantly develop and apply cutting edge sensing technology for civil infrastructure monitoring.
Increasing awareness of structural health monitoring, ISHMII shares case studies and proceedings with members to promote knowledge exchange and best practice. ISHMII also publishes the Journal of Civil Structural Health Monitoring.
