CSIC Core Management Team

The CSIC Core Management Team plays a crucial role in ensuring effective day-to-day operations, contributing to the success and impact of CSIC in smart infrastructure and construction.

The team oversees various aspects of operations, including strategic planning, resource allocation, project  management, and stakeholder engagement.

 

Dee Dee FrawleyProgramme Manager

Dee Dee is the CSIC Programme Manager. She is responsible managing the operational planning for CSIC, including the CSIC Membership Programme, and working with the Director to develop CSIC's research dissemination, policy, and thought leadership activities. She has a range of experience in geotechnical engineering, IT project management, communications and education. She holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (geotechnical emphasis) from Colorado State University and earned a Professional Engineering License in the State of California USA. ddf21@cam.ac.uk

 

Tianlei Wu - Finance Manager

Tian is CSIC Finance Manager. She holds a master's degree in accountancy from Glasgow University and achieving full ACCA qualification in 2008, Tian spent five years in practice and worked as a Management Accountant in a public-listed company for four years before joining CSIC in December 2014. With a passion for simplifying complex financial concepts, her goal is to deliver clear and understandable financial information to a broad audience, transcending barriers for those without a finance background. csic-finance@eng.cam.ac.uk

 

Dr Fiorella Dell'Olio - Communications Manager

Fiorella is the Communications Manager at CSIC. She is responsible for managing the Centre's communication content and designing its communication strategy. Fiorella works closely with research associates to promote their activities and research. Prior to this role, she has held various academic and academic-related positions. Fiorella holds a PhD in social science from the University of London (LSE). She has also been teaching and conducting research in several universities including Cambridge and Oxford. Dr Petia Tzokova - Industry Adoption Facilitator

Petia is CSIC Industry Adoption Facilitator. She organises and implements a range of activities and works closely with CSIC partners across academia and industry to foster collaborations around key CSIC outputs, including the Carbon Reduction Code for the Built Environment and the Line of Sight Asset Management Methodology. She studied Civil and Structural Engineering at the University of Cambridge and later pursued a PhD in Structural Engineering, focusing on buckling and wrinkling behaviour of thin sheets. pst29@cam.ac.uk   

 

Jessica Krishan - Centre Coordinator

Jessica is the Centre Coordinator at CSIC. She is responsible for the administration activities and events related to the centre and works closely with the other members of the management team and research associates. She is also a point of contact for introductions and queries from students, researchers and industry contacts and can help you get connected to the relevant person in the team. Jessica holds an MBA from the University of Suffolk and has previously worked in financial services, the non-for-profit sector, and local authorities. csic-admin@eng.cam.ac.uk

 

Dr Cedric Kechavarzi Operations Manager

Cedric Kechavarzi is a soil physicist and instrumentation specialist with expertise in fibre-optic sensing systems and their deployment across a wide range of infrastructure and construction projects. He has contributed significantly to the adoption of fibre optic sensing in civil engineering through training and developing specifications and methodologies to ensure reliable system performance and durability. He is lead author of the book: Distributed fibre optic strain sensing for monitoring civil infrastructure - A Practical Guide, ICE publishing. Cedric has an MSc in Soil and Water Engineering and a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). ck209@eng.cam.ac.uk

 

Paul Fidler - Computer Associate

Paul has worked on several CSIC projects and is currently the Laing O'Rourke Centre for Construction Computer Associate. Paul’s primary research for CSIC involves using Digital Twins for Structural Health Monitoring of infrastructure assets such as bridges. His current work, previously funded by the Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) and as part of a joint project with Chung-Ang University in South Korea, continues the monitoring of two railway bridges in Staffordshire which have previously been instrumented using fibre-optic sensors. praf1@cam.ac.uk
