CSIC Membership Benefits

Benefits - CSIC and Members in collaboration with suppliers in the value chain will:

• Bridge ‘digital’ and ‘civil’ engineering silos

- Accelerate the application of IOT and digitalisation in infrastructure and construction as the norm

- Promote and enable the transition to data-enabled businesses which collect, analyse and extract value from data across their entire organisation

- Enable value-based delivery models that provide a sustainable return to the industry while creating improved value for clients and customers

• Set the trajectory of future thinking for the industry

- Convene, connect and coordinate strategy and industry-wide roadmaps

- Produce thought leadership around future technology needs, and using data and digital solutions in the industry to meet Sustainable Development Goals objectives

• Be a voice for the industry

- Provide joint responses – what is needed, what’s missing etc.

• Learn as a sector and address the challenges of scaling solutions

- Work collaboratively to demonstrate the ROI of data-centric solutions and support testing/pilot activities to evidence viability and scalability

- Collaborate on success measures to enable scaling

- Work together to explore industry-wide initiatives such as open data trusts, open standards, data sharing systems, with clients bringing their data/insights to table

- Convene groups with mutual interests including client groups to promote consistency in data management requirements for the supply chain

- Work with insurers and policy makers to lessen the impact risk has on stifling innovation

• Continue pushing the boundaries

- Develop joint research proposals focused on the identified interests and needs of the members

- Provide recruitment opportunities and promote learning and development of early career staff

• A place on the CSIC Steering Group

• Early access to reports, papers, research outputs

• Ability to second staff to CSIC for up to a year (this may involve additional cost)
