A paper titled ‘Digitalisation for smarter cities: moving from a static to a dynamic view’ co-authored by CSIC Research Associates and Investigators has been published by the Institution for Civil Engineers (ICE) Journal of Smart Infrastructure and Construction (SMIC).

CSIC fibre optic sensing systems designed for Hooley Cutting, which carries the main railway line from London to Brighton through the North Downs, won the Best Use of Technology award at the Rail Partnership Awards held last night (5 June), in Birmingham.

Two CSIC projects have been shortlisted for the Rail Partnership Awards 2019. ‘Structural Health Monitoring Systems’ and ‘Smart Railway Infrastructure’ have both been shortlisted for the Best Use of Technology category which recognises suppliers that have used new technologies to help transform Britain’s railway demonstrating new ways of working, cutting-edge technologies or novel approaches that benefit users.
